Pins are used in many folk magic spells for pinning something down, bringing focus, or delineating boundaries. These gorgeous iron pins with their generous iron ball heads will add a touch of true old world magic to your spells.
One of my favorite ways to use pins are to mark off segments in a taper candle. Push the pins into the candle in equal divisions of 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, or 13 segments. Burn the segment and when the pin drops and you hear it clink against the dish or tray below, you know it’s time to snuff your candle out for the day and burn the next segment tomorrow.
