How to Use This Candle in a Native Spirit Spell

What You'll Need:

• A Madame Pamita Native Spirit Beeswax Vigil Candle
• A petition paper with a written statement of your intention to honor ancestors or connect to spirit guides
• Matches or a lighter

Note: A Dressed and Blessed Native Spirit Beeswax Vigil Candle comes with oil and herbs already applied. If getting the plain candle, add the following:

• Native Spirit Oil by Madame Pamita
• A small pinch of herbs to sprinkle on the top, such as Birch Bark Powder, White Oak Bark Powder, or Angelica Root Powder.

The Spell:

Begin by cleansing your sacred space and centering yourself. If you are dressing the plain candle, remove the candle from the glass and dress it on top and sides with a few drops of Native Spirit Oil while visualizing ancestral spirits surrounding you with love and guidance, and feeling deep connection to the land. Replace the candle back into the glass.

Place your petition paper with your written statement of your intention to honor ancestors or connect to spirit guides on a heat-safe surface and place the vigil candle in its glass on top of the paper. If you're using herbs, sprinkle a very small pinch of them on top of the candle.

Light the candle and speak your intention aloud, being specific about the spirits you wish to honor or connect with. For example: "I honor my ancestors. I show reverence for those who lived on this land before me. Spirit guides, I call to you. Protect and guide me. I bless this earth. I stand for justice and protect the disempowered. I am connected to the spiritual heritage of this land." Visualize ancestral spirits surrounding you, spirit guides appearing to offer guidance, and sacred connection flowing between you and the land as the candle burns.

Burn the candle daily while it is safe to do so, focusing on your intention each time you light it. When the spell is complete, respectfully dispose of the spell remains while saying "This spell is complete."
