Curious Candles for Specific Spells is an on-demand replay of Madame Pamita’s Mabon Sabbat Candle Magic Workshop, originally presented on September 21, 2026.

In this advanced candle magic workshop, Madame Pamita explains how to choose and work with segmented candles, double action candles, return-to-sender candles, magical oil lamps, honey jars, and vinegar jars. You’ll learn what makes each working unique, which intentions it is best suited for, and how to prepare it safely and effectively.

This workshop is part of the eight-part Sabbat Candle Magic Workshop Series for 2026. Drawing on Madame Pamita’s decades of experience as a witch and candle maker, the series offers a masterclass in building a confident, thoughtful, and effective candle magic practice.

This is a recorded workshop that you can watch on demand, wherever and whenever it is convenient for you. The replay runs approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes and includes the complete class, practical demonstrations, and the workshop Q&A.

No supplies are required to watch and learn from the workshop. If you choose to recreate one of the workings afterward, your materials will depend on the type of spell you select.

Optional Materials:

• A heatproof tray or dish
• Matches or a lighter
• An inscribing tool
• Spiritual oils and herbs aligned with your intention
• Petition paper and appropriate personal concerns
• A small mirror for reversing work
• A glass jar with a metal lid for a honey jar, vinegar jar, or magical oil lamp

You do not need every item on this list. Madame Pamita explains the specific materials required for each type of working during the workshop.

Specialty candles are particularly helpful for challenging intentions that benefit from additional magical support. Their colors, shapes, numbers, construction, and methods of preparation add symbolic layers that a standard candle may not provide. The extra attention required to prepare and tend these workings also transforms a simple candle spell into a deeper ritual.

You’ll begin with segmented candles, including seven-knob candles, eight-day skull candles, and Three Wise Monkeys candles. Madame Pamita explains how burning one section at a time allows you to renew your intention each day, work multiple wishes beneath one larger goal, incorporate numerology, and carry a spell through several days of lunar energy. You’ll also learn how to create your own segmented candle using carved lines, visual measurements, or pins.

Next, you’ll explore double action candles and learn why these two-colored candles act like two consecutive spells joined into one working. Madame Pamita explains how to select the appropriate color, determine which end should be burned first, inscribe and dress each section, use mirror writing for reversing work, and “butt” or reverse a candle when the black portion is not already positioned at the top.

You’ll also discover the important difference between a double action candle and a return-to-sender candle. Rather than performing two consecutive actions, a return-to-sender candle simultaneously sheds curses, hexes, jinxes, and unwanted energy while revealing and restoring the candle’s beneficial color beneath the black outer wax.

Before moving into jar spells, Madame Pamita provides a detailed lesson on personal concerns—physical or symbolic links used to connect spellwork to a particular person. You’ll learn how different personal concerns vary in strength, why the most appropriate choice depends on the relationship, and how personal concerns can link a spell to you, another person, or both of you.

Madame Pamita then demonstrates how to construct a refillable Mason jar oil lamp for long-term intentions such as prosperity, peace in the home, good luck, or steady business. She walks you through selecting ingredients, making a cotton wick, filling the lamp, adjusting the flame, and safely maintaining an ongoing magical light.

Finally, you’ll receive complete instruction for preparing and working honey jars and vinegar jars. You’ll learn why honey jars are traditionally used to sweeten a specific person—especially someone stubborn or resistant—how to prepare the petition packet, add personal concerns, dress and burn candles on the lid, maintain the working over time, and preserve a successful jar for future use.

For vinegar jars, you’ll learn how these workings are used to sour relationships, create separation, or break harmful alliances; how their petitions and ingredients differ from those used in honey jars; how to monitor the jar for pressure caused by fermentation; and how to dispose of the completed working appropriately.
