Holly has been referred to as Bat's Wings because of the shape of it's leaves. 

Bat's Wings are excellent for protection and is used as a barrier to keep out unwanted spirits, people or animals, while also allowing positive spirits to come in.

Do not ingest Holly berries as they are poisonous.

A few suggested magical uses of Bat's Wings:

• Sprinkle some around your property as a barrier to keep out unwanted spirits while allowing good ones in.
• Soak a few leaves in water under a full moon over night and use as a sprinkle for protection around your home or on your body.
• Place 3 leaves or "wings" around a Fiery Wall of Protection candle to keep away negative people.
• Burn cut Bat's WIngs, Burdock and crushed Hawthorn Berries on a charcoal to block negative spirits from entering your space, while allowing positive spirit to come in.
